You do not need a 30-page website. Most Hyderabad small businesses win with 6 to 8 sharp pages that answer buyer questions and make it easy to call or WhatsApp you. This guide shows exactly which pages you need, what goes on each, and the launch checklist we use at DeskBees before any site goes live.
New here? Read our pillar guide first: How much does a website cost in Hyderabad? Then come back for the page-by-page plan below. Our website design service builds exactly this structure.
Which pages does a small business website need?
A small business website needs Home, Services (or Treatments / Menu / Courses), About, Gallery, Reviews, Contact, plus one enquiry form that also alerts you on WhatsApp. That is 6 to 8 pages. Anything more can wait until customers ask for it. Extra pages nobody reads only slow down your launch.
What goes on the Home page?
Your Home page must answer three questions in the first screen: what you do, who it is for, and how to contact you. Put your main service plus area (for example “Dental Clinic in Dilsukhnagar”), one call button and one WhatsApp button above the fold. Below that: 3 to 4 top services, 2 to 3 real reviews, your photos (not stock), areas served, and a short enquiry form. One clear call-to-action per screen beats five competing buttons.
How should service pages be written?
Give every money-making service its own page. A page titled “Root Canal Treatment in Hyderabad” will always beat a paragraph buried inside a generic “Services” page. Each service page needs: what the service is in plain words, who it suits, price range or “starting at” guidance, 3 to 5 FAQs, duration and aftercare if relevant, and a booking button. Write like you speak to a customer across the counter, then add the area names you actually serve.
Do I need About, Gallery and Reviews pages?
Yes, because buyers check them before calling. Your About page needs real names, real photos and how long you have served Hyderabad – anonymous “we are a leading provider” text builds zero trust. Your Gallery needs your shop, clinic, team and finished work, each photo compressed under 200 KB so the page loads fast on mobile data. Your Reviews page should embed your Google reviews and link visitors to leave one; also read our guide on getting reviews within Google’s rules.
What makes a Contact page actually work?
A Contact page that works has: click-to-call number, WhatsApp chat button, address with embedded Google Map, business hours matching your Google Business Profile, nearby landmarks and parking info, and a form with only 4 fields (name, phone, service needed, message). Every extra field drops enquiries. Test the form yourself on your phone before launch – our own contact page routes to both email and WhatsApp so nothing is missed.
What content should I prepare before the build?
Content delays cause 80 percent of website delays. Before your designer starts, gather: logo file, 10 to 20 real photos of your premises, team and work, service list with one-line descriptions, price ranges you are comfortable showing, address with pincode, hours, phone and WhatsApp number, and two lines each on how you started and why customers choose you. If writing is hard, send rough bullet points – a good designer shapes them into pages. Do not wait for perfect text; launch with honest text and improve monthly.
Launch checklist: 12 things to verify before going live
- Mobile test: open every page on a real phone on mobile data. Buttons big enough, no sideways scrolling, call buttons working.
- Speed: images compressed, caching on. Home page should feel instant on 4G.
- Forms: submit a test enquiry. Confirm it reaches your email and WhatsApp.
- Titles: every page has a unique title with service plus area, and one H1 only.
- Maps and hours: embedded map correct, hours match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- SSL: padlock shows, http redirects to https.
- Backups: backup routine on with stated frequency and retention. See website hosting and maintenance.
- Analytics: Search Console and Analytics connected so you can see calls and direction requests.
- Social and profiles: Google Business Profile website link updated, Instagram / Facebook links correct.
- Legal basics: privacy note on the form, copyright year, business name and GSTIN in the footer if billing online.
- Ownership: domain in your name, hosting account in your name, admin access handed to you.
- Handover: a short call or video showing how to edit pages, add photos and check enquiries.
FAQs
How many pages is too many? If you cannot keep a page updated, delete it or merge it. Eight live, accurate pages beat twenty stale ones every time.
Should I have a blog from day one? Yes, but with two honest posts, not an empty “Blog coming soon” page. Publish one useful answer a month – cost guides, process explainers, area pages. That is the compounding part of your site.
One language or three? Start with English plus Telugu area names in text. Add Telugu or Hindi pages only when customers actually ask, or when you run ads in those languages.
