Twenty pages, three eras of design, demo content with Lorem Ipsum in the sitemap, legacy Services and Products pages competing with the new ones – our own site was the cobbler’s barefoot child. So we rebuilt deskbees.com the way we rebuild client sites: one coherent structure, three clear business lines, security cleaned up, speed fixed. Dogfooding at its most honest.
The situation
Our audit found our own symptoms everywhere: eight legacy pages still public (old Services, Products, Demo, a dated 360 page), Flatsome demo blocks with Lorem Ipsum sitting in the sitemap, shop prices disagreeing with service pages (the Rs. 10,000 Google 360 product vs Rs. 4,500/9,999/20,000 packages, the Rs. 10 NFC card), seven empty blog categories with duplicated tags, every post by “admin” with no author bios, and no SEO plugin – not one meta description on the site. A prospect reading our content plan would have found a site violating half of it.

What we did
Four workstreams. Structure: three business lines (IT services, printing, IT products) with hub pages, industry pages planned, legacy URLs mapped to 301 redirects (Services to IT Services, Products to IT Products, old 360 page to Google 360 Services, web-portfolio to Work). Content: a 48-post programme across 12 clusters plus 8 case studies – the publishing engine you are reading right now. Commerce: shop prices reconciled with service pages, review cards and NFC products linked from GMB Tools. Security and speed: cleanup of demo content and stale plugins, backup routines on, caching configured – our own hack-recovery discipline and maintenance routine applied to ourselves first.

Rebuild scorecard
Before vs after
| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | 20+ pages, 3 eras, demo content indexed | 3 business lines, redirect map, clean sitemap |
| Content | 12 thin posts, printing silent | 48-post programme, all lines covered |
| Trust signals | “admin” author, no proof pages | Case studies, Work hub planned |
| Maintenance | Ad-hoc updates | Backup + update routine, monitored |

What changed
Measured results (speed scores, enquiries per month before vs after, with test dates) will be published here once the post-rebuild window matures. The security clean-up detail stays as discreet as our comfort allows – per the plan.
