What is managed Hostinger hosting?
Managed Hostinger hosting means your site lives on Hostinger servers while we handle setup, SSL, caching, backups, updates and support tickets for you. Hostinger provides the data centre, network and hardware; we provide the human layer – configuring the account correctly, watching it, and fixing issues before you notice them. What do you own and what do we manage?
You own the domain (in your registrar account), the hosting account (in your name and email), the website files and database, and all admin logins. We get delegated or admin access to do the work: setting up email, installing WordPress correctly, hardening login, scheduling backups off-server, and handling renewals reminders. If we part ways, you change passwords and keep running – nothing is held hostage. This ownership-first setup is also the basis of our Hostinger partner application.
What does setup and migration involve?
Setup means: hosting plan sized to your traffic, free SSL enabled with http-to-https redirect, caching configured, PHP version set to a supported release, daily or weekly backups scheduled with 30-day retention off-server, and Search Console submitted. Migration from an old host follows our zero-downtime routine – full backup, copy to new server, test privately, then switch DNS at low-traffic hours and watch for 48 hours. How much does managed hosting cost?
Expect two parts: Hostinger plan renewals (check the current Hostinger India rate card – plans and renewal prices change yearly) plus our management fee for updates, backups, monitoring and small changes. Beware first-year discounts that jump at renewal; we quote renewal-year pricing upfront so there are no surprises. Email hosting is often included for basic mailboxes; Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailboxes bill separately per user.
What happens when something breaks?
Uptime is monitored, so we usually know before you do. For hacks or outages: isolate, restore from a known-clean backup if needed, patch the entry point (usually an outdated plugin), change credentials, and resubmit to Google if flagged. Response promises depend on your plan tier – ask us what yours is. What matters most: backups exist, are off-server, and have actually been restore-tested.
FAQs
Is my email affected by hosting moves? Only if mail lives on the same server. We map mail records before any DNS switch and verify delivery after – tell us where your mailboxes live before migration day.
Can I buy hosting myself and hire you only for maintenance? Yes. We will audit the account, fix the basics, and take over the routine. If the plan is undersized for a store, we will say so before trouble starts.
