Late for Diwali? A 10-Day Corporate Gifting Plan That Still Delivers
If you are ordering Diwali gifts for employees and the festival is less than two weeks away, you are not too late, but the order has to be simple. This is the plan we use for Diwali corporate gifts in Hyderabad when the calendar has already shrunk: in-stock items, fast branding, printed sleeves instead of custom boxes, and dispatch locked before the courier cut-offs.
Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November. That leaves ten working days from Thursday 22 October to Wednesday 4 November. Ten days is enough for a clean, branded gift if you decide quickly and stop changing the brief. It is not enough for a custom-manufactured hamper with a new box, a new insert and three approval rounds.
This guide gives you the day-by-day plan, the decisions to make first, and the requests to drop. It is written for owners, HR teams and admin teams who need the gifts to arrive, not for a catalogue exercise.
The short answer: With two weeks to go, choose in-stock items, brand them with printed sleeves, stickers or quick engraving, and lock courier dates before you approve the gift. Pack everything as sets. Keep one person in charge of final approval.
Best for: employee gifts, client gifts, vendor gifts and small team hampers where the quantity is known and the delivery addresses are ready.

What is still possible with two weeks to go
A late Diwali order works when the product already exists and only the branding is new. The moment you ask for a new mould, a new box size, a new insert or an imported item, you add a manufacturing queue you cannot control. That is the line between a busy week and a missed festival.
The good news is that most employees and clients do not judge a gift by how unusual the box is. They judge it by whether it is useful, whether it looks tidy, and whether it arrived on time. A well-chosen bottle with a clean printed sleeve beats a complicated hamper that reaches the office after Diwali.
| What you may want | Two weeks out | Better move this year |
|---|---|---|
| A custom hamper with a new box and insert | Usually too slow unless the box and insert already exist | Use a standard box and add a printed sleeve or a belly band |
| Your logo on a bottle or diary | Possible if the item is in stock and the branding method is simple | Choose print, sticker or engraving that the supplier can run in-house |
| A different name on every gift | Possible, but every name must be checked before production | Keep the list in one sheet and approve a name proof |
| Delivery to many home addresses | Possible, but address quality decides the result | Collect full addresses with pin codes and phone numbers on Day 2 |
| A branded outer box | Often the slowest part of a late order | Brand the sleeve, the sticker or the ribbon instead |
Rule for a late order: change the branding, not the product. Every new physical component adds a queue. Every new print file adds a proof. Keep both to a minimum.
Day 1 to 2: count, budget and addresses
Start with three numbers and one list. The numbers are headcount, budget per gift, and the date you need the gifts in hand. The list is every delivery address. If any of these is still moving, the order is not ready to quote.
Count by group, not by guess. Employees, clients, vendors, and any extra gifts for the leadership team or the office. Add a small buffer for damaged pieces, new joiners or a last-minute address. Then write the budget per gift as a landed cost: gift, branding, packing, and delivery. A gift that fits the unit price but not the delivery cost is not a gift that fits the budget.
| Item to confirm | What to write down | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Headcount | Employees, clients, vendors, plus a small buffer | Quantity decides the price band and the packing plan |
| Budget per gift | Gift, branding, packing and delivery, not just the item price | Prevents a shortlist that cannot be delivered within budget |
| Delivery addresses | Full address, pin code, contact name and phone number | One bad address can hold up a whole batch |
| Delivery date | The date the gift must reach the recipient, not the dispatch date | Makes the courier cut-off visible from Day 1 |
| Approver | One name, one phone number, one email | Stops conflicting edits after the proof is approved |
| Billing details | GSTIN, billing address, purchase order if needed | Finance can clear the invoice without a second round |
If you are working to a tight budget, say so early. A supplier can show options in the right band instead of tempting you with a gift that doubles after branding and delivery. If the brief is Diwali gifts for employees under 500, ask for in-stock options in that band and check what the price includes. A lower unit price with paid branding and delivery can end up higher than a slightly better item with both included.
Day 3 to 4: in-stock shortlist and approval
Ask for a shortlist with photos, not catalogue codes. Three options are enough: one safe choice, one slightly better choice, and one budget choice. For each option, ask what the branding will look like, how long it takes, and whether the item is in stock today.
Approve one option and name a backup. Do not approve a direction and then keep looking. The search is what eats the week. Once the item is chosen, the rest of the plan is execution.
| Gift direction | Fast branding | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Diary and pen set | Logo on the cover, printed band or a small engraved plate | Employees, interns, training batches |
| Steel bottle | One-colour print, sticker or laser mark | Teams, field staff, client gifts |
| Mug and snack box | Printed sleeve or a sticker on the box | Large employee groups and office teams |
| Jute or canvas bag | Screen print or a printed patch | Events, welcome kits, vendor gifts |
| Sweet box | Printed sleeve or a label on the outer box | Clients, neighbours, small teams |
If the order includes clients as well as employees, split the list now. Client gifts often need a more formal pack and a message card. Employee gifts can be simpler and packed by team. Splitting the list also lets you send the client gifts first if the courier cut-off is tighter.
Day 5 to 7: fast branding and packing
Fast branding is branding that does not need a new physical component. A printed sleeve, a sticker, a belly band, a ribbon or a one-colour logo on the product are all faster than a custom box. Engraving is fast for a small number of pieces if the artwork is ready and the names are checked. It is slower when every piece needs a different layout.
Send the logo in a clean file, plus the exact spelling of every name.
Check size, colour, spelling and placement on one proof.
Print, engrave or stick the approved artwork.
Pack as sets with a message card and a label.
Sort by address and hand over before the cut-off.
Pack as sets, not as loose pieces. A set is the gift, the card and any accessory in one pack, labelled with the recipient’s name. If you are sending to homes, the pack has to survive a courier journey without the card falling out or the bottle hitting the box. Ask for a packed sample before the full run if the timeline allows one day for it.

Day 8 to 10: dispatch before courier cut-offs
Courier cut-offs are not the same for every address. A metro delivery, a small town delivery, and a home delivery in the same city can have different cut-offs. Ask your courier for the last pickup date for each destination group, then work backwards. For 2026, plan to dispatch outstation gifts by Tuesday 3 November or Wednesday 4 November, and keep the local Hyderabad and Secunderabad deliveries for the following days if your courier confirms it can deliver before 8 November.
| Day | Date for 2026 | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Thu 22 Oct | Count, budget, address list and one approver |
| Day 2 | Fri 23 Oct | Shortlist request with photos and stock status |
| Day 3 | Mon 26 Oct | Review options, choose one and a backup |
| Day 4 | Tue 27 Oct | Approve the item and send the logo and name list |
| Day 5 | Wed 28 Oct | Check the branding proof and packing sample |
| Day 6 | Thu 29 Oct | Branding run |
| Day 7 | Fri 30 Oct | Packing as sets, labels and message cards |
| Day 8 | Mon 2 Nov | Local dispatch and first outstation batches |
| Day 9 | Tue 3 Nov | Outstation dispatch, share tracking |
| Day 10 | Wed 4 Nov | Final dispatch, confirm every address has a tracking number |
Illustrative schedule. Diwali 2026 is Sunday 8 November. Confirm the actual courier cut-off for each destination before you promise a delivery date.
What to skip when time is short
Some ideas are good in September and risky in late October. Skip them this year and put them on the list for next year.
- Custom wooden boxes with engraved lids. Beautiful, but the box becomes a manufacturing project.
- Imported items that are not in stock. A supplier cannot promise a date it does not control.
- Three rounds of design changes. One proof, one set of corrections, one approval.
- Different packaging for every team. Use one pack and a label with the team or recipient name.
- Delivery to addresses collected after dispatch. The address list has to be final before packing.
- A surprise element added at the last minute. A late addition is how a packing plan breaks.
Starting earlier next year
The best way to avoid this scramble is a calendar, not a bigger budget. Put the festival dates on the company calendar at the start of the year, mark the order-by date eight to ten weeks before each occasion, and decide the budget before the catalogue arrives. Our year-round corporate gifting calendar, publishing on 7 November, sets out the occasions and the order-by windows. The Festive Corporate Gifting Planner is the free worksheet version.

Diwali corporate gifts in Hyderabad with two weeks to go
We work from Pan Bazar, Secunderabad, and serve businesses across Hyderabad and Secunderabad. For a late order, the fastest route is a WhatsApp message with four things: the number of gifts, the budget per gift, the delivery cities, and the date you need them. We will reply with in-stock options and a realistic dispatch date, not a catalogue of everything we could make in an ideal month.
If you need corporate gifting in Hyderabad, start with the items that are already in stock and the branding methods that are already running. That is how a two-week order still looks planned. For Diwali corporate gifts in Secunderabad, the same plan applies: send the brief and we will confirm what is in stock.
FAQs
Can we still get branded Diwali gifts in two weeks?
Yes, if the item is in stock and the branding is simple. Printed sleeves, stickers, one-colour prints and small engraving runs are realistic. Custom boxes, new inserts and imported items are the usual reasons a two-week order fails.
What are good last-minute Diwali gifts for employees?
Choose something useful: a diary and pen set, a steel bottle, a mug and snack box, a jute or canvas bag, or a sweet box with a printed sleeve. A useful gift with a clean logo is better than a complicated gift that arrives late.
When is the last day to courier Diwali gifts?
It depends on the destination and the courier service. For 2026, aim to dispatch outstation gifts by Tuesday 3 November or Wednesday 4 November, and ask your courier for the exact cut-off for each city. Local deliveries in Hyderabad and Secunderabad can usually go closer to the festival, but confirm before you promise a date.
Is corporate gifting in Secunderabad still possible two weeks before Diwali?
Yes. We work from Pan Bazar, Secunderabad, so a local order can move quickly when the items are in stock. Send the quantity, budget and delivery date on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is possible before you pay.
